2025 – Happy New Year!

The betterment and revivification of the New Year typically bring a strengthened sense of awareness and purpose to our way of life. Some of these we have postponed for days, weeks, and months leading up to January 1st. Yet once the intoxication of the new beginning settles, the real questions and reflections eventually return to the behaviours and the processes we have in place to reconstruct our lives.

Sarah Dessen, the best-selling author of Keeping The Moon, reminds us: “If you try anything, if you try to lose weight, or to improve yourself, or to love, or to make the world a better place, you have already achieved something wonderful, before you even begin. Forget failure. If things don’t work out the way you want, hold your head up high and be proud. And try again. And again. And again!”

This year, we have the possibility to dismantle and tear apart our personal growth into deliberate, actionable steps. Doing less than more will be quintessential as we pursue our dreams and design the lifestyle we yearn for, covet, and desire. Our dreams only work if we do. Reevaluating how we think about enriching our emotional, mental, and physical well-being through the habits we cultivate and the systems we assimilate becomes the foundation for authentic, discernible, and sustainable personal transformation.

Realize wisely and earnestly that a New Year is only a fresh start if we dare to begin anew. Let us assemble the resolution in 2025 to do what’s right — not just what’s comfortable — even in the face of fear. We have an onus and incumbency to actively show up every day for ourselves and those in our community with determination, intention, and purpose, even on days we do not feel our best.

Happy New Year,

Brian Nadon
