Life’s two most important questions are “Why?” and “Why not?”
No matter how much I think I know or have experienced, every new day brings about a blank canvas of unique opportunity to learn, grow, and discover. Life is too short to wait for a great day to invest in better life experiences. We must start where we are with the available resources. Post behaviour is the most reliable predictor of future behaviour. Words are empty. Actions carry weight; so stay teachable, humble, and curious.
Most unhappiness is self-induced. Your mind is running the show. You can be in servitude to your mind, or you can make it work for you. It is never your circumstances that hold you back in life. It is the belief that you cannot do anything about or change them. When you take charge of your mind, you will discover that anything is possible.
Each of us is responsible for doing an audit on our personal and professional lives. Close the doors in your life that lead to old and destructive habits, thoughts, and ways of living. Your life is a gift loaded with blessings, not an obligation. Make the most of it. Our only purpose is to be who we are. Do not make it so complicated. Just be the best you that you can be. Instead of comparing yourself to who someone else is today; start comparing yourself to who you were yesterday. Your only competition should be you. It is you versus you.
Some people around you will not genuinely support your self-discovery journey. That is perfectly okay. Understand, they do not need to. It is not for them. You determine your self-worth. You do not have to depend on someone telling you who you are. If you care about what other people think, you will always be their prisoner. Follow your compass and do not waste valuable time and energy, responding to negativity.
Do not let your biggest regret in life be not taking a chance on yourself. Life is full of incredible possibilities, but you have to be willing to let go and take some risks. I have come to learn that in life, things do not happen to you; they happen for you. It is not what happens to you but how you react to it that matters. Change your thinking from “why me” and a victim of the past to a pioneer of the future. We listen for guidance everywhere except within at times. When in doubt, turn within and trust the process!
