Don’t Let Your Story Limit You

Often we exert so much time and energy worrying about the wrong things. Living in a state of reaction is a poor way to live.

I have come to understand on the other side of our failures, mistakes, and obstacles are miracles. Residing too much in the past is a dark and dangerous place to live. Every day you have a unique opportunity to take adversity and turn it into a competitive advantage. Your life is meant to be lived not merely existed.

A setback is always a path to a more profound truth if you are willing to embrace the discomfort. We will never find new solutions if we keep looking at the same things in the same manner. We must strive to be a problem solver in as many ways a possible.

Understand life is an experiment with no destined blueprint. True wisdom is knowing what you do not know but need to know. Each of us is the architect in cultivating our ultimate self-discovery journey. Thus we must always be learning, unlearning, and relearning. We learn by trying new things and altering our behavior based on the results.

Never allow external things, places, people, and circumstances to determine how much you are worth and what you can accomplish in this life. Control what you can and accept what you cannot change, because no matter how bad the storm, there will always be a rainbow that is waiting to appear.

We are our story. Our story shapes, limits, and defines our reality. Remain very careful of the self-talk and thoughts that live in your head because that in which we give our focus to substantially grows. Realize life is more than just about you and I. As long as you are alive, you can be of service and a positive difference-maker to another person. Seek to help others realize their noblest visions, values, and aspirations. Concentrate on finding a style that inspires and encourages rather than demeans or dominates.

The truth is our saving grace and guiding compass. Life always comes down to execution. Execution is doing what you said you were going to do when you said it. All we ever have is this present moment, and the precious time we have left. So live courageously and fully while following your dreams. No matter how occupied you become, be sure to take time to do something each day that brings you closer to your aspirations. The last thing you want is to die with unexplored dreams still inside of you.

Be unique, be brave to be you.
